You’ll handle a broad caseload across civil, commercial and property litigation, with the backing of an established Dispute Resolution function and a strong local reputation. The Role: Dispute Resolution / Litigation Based in the Luton area, you’ll manage a mixed caseload and contribute to the continued growth of the disputes offering. Typical matters may include: Civil disputes (contractual disputes, debt recovery, injunctions where relevant) Commercial litigation (shareholder/director disputes, breach of contract, supplier/customer disputes) Property litigation (landlord and tenant disputes, boundary issues, dilapidations, possession claims) What you’ll be doing day-to-day: Managing files from instruction through to resolution (including ADR and litigation where required) Drafting pleadings, witness statements and correspondence Advising clients clearly on risk, strategy, costs and next steps Building relationships and supporting business development activity where appropriate Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues (depending on level) Requirements To be considered, you’ll ideally have: Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales 4 years’ PQE in a Dispute Resolution / Litigation role Strong experience handling a range of civil, commercial and/or property disputes Confidence running your own caseload with minimal supervision Excellent drafting, negotiation and client-care skills A commercial mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving Desirable (not essential): Experience with mediation/ADR and/or advocacy Supervisory experience or interest in mentoring Working Arrangements & Location Role is based in the Luton area (office-based role with flexibility depending on team needs and experience level) Full-time preferred; part-time may be considered for the right profile Salary & Benefits Salary: £55,000–£75,000 depending on experience and fit (benchmarking for 4–8 PQE in the local/regional market) Benefits typically include: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service in many firms) Pension contribution Private medical / health cash plan (often available in firms of this size) Life assurance (where offered) Supportive progression pathway with clear development conversations and opportunities to step up Training and CPD support Employee wellbeing initiatives (varies by firm) Apply / Enquire If you’re a Litigation Solicitor (4 PQE) and would like a confidential conversation, contact: David Hawthorne-Finch d.hawthorne-finch@h-fts.com If you’d like to be considered, please send your CV (or a brief summary of your experience).
