Swanwood Partnership are a friendly, forward-thinking, partner-led GP surgery based in Wickford, Essex, serving a patient population of just under 7,000. Our dedicated clinical and administrative teams work collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive and progressive environment. Due to an internal reshuffle, we are seeking an experienced and proactive o perations lead to oversee the smooth running of our day-to-day operations. This key leadership role will support the partners in maintaining efficient systems, ensuring compliance with NHS and CQC requirements, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Key responsibilities will include: Lead and manage the administrative and reception teams to deliver efficient, high-quality patient services. Oversee the operational running of the practice, including workflow management, staff rotas, and resource allocation. Support the Partners in strategic planning, performance monitoring, and delivery of quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with CQC standards, NHS regulations, and data protection legislation. Liaise with external stakeholders including PCN colleagues, ICB representatives, and other healthcare providers. Oversee recruitment, induction, and staff development processes. Identify opportunities for service improvement and lead change initiatives. About the Candidate To be considered for this position, you will need the following; Strong leadership and organisational skills with proven experience in managing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A good understanding of primary care, NHS systems, or healthcare operations is desirable. Proficiency in IT systems (e.g. EMIS, MS Office, NHS digital platforms). Flexible, solution-focused, and able to thrive in a busy environment. NHS experience not necessary providing you can provide and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
