Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a local primary setting in Exeter on a part-time, temporary basis.

About the Role:
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working with pupils across Years 3 to 6, providing essential classroom and individual support to help them thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to make a real difference in the lives of upper primary pupils.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons
* Providing 1:1 and small group support in core subjects like English and Maths
* Helping pupils stay on task and manage their workload effectively
* Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive classroom behaviour
* Encouraging independence and resilience in learning
* Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, under the guidance of the SENCO
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for candidates who are:
* Passionate about education and child development
* Confident in supporting KS2 learners academically and emotionally
* Proactive, patient, and adaptable in a busy classroom environment
* Comfortable using their initiative and working as part of a team
* Ideally experienced in a primary or KS2 setting (although not essential)
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or similar) is desirable but not required. You must have (or be willing to obtain) a DBS check registered on the update service.
Pay & Benefits:
* Daily rate: £90 - £100 per day (based on experience and qualifications)
* Contract: Temporary, part-time (term-time only)

* Potential for long-term or permanent placement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
