IT Support Engineer (2nd/3rd Line)
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £28,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on Experience & Skillset)

About the Role
Interaction Recruitment is pleased to be working with a well-established and growing IT consultancy to recruit an experienced IT Support Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving organisation during a period of sustained growth, supporting a diverse client base of small to medium-sized businesses.
Our client delivers tailored IT solutions and fully managed support services, acting as a trusted technology partner to their customers. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and supporting client IT infrastructure while contributing to ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support across customer networks, servers, email systems, databases, and security environments
2. Handle IT support queries both on-site and remotely
3. Log and manage incidents through a helpdesk system, ensuring timely resolution
4. Work on support tickets through to completion, maintaining high service standards
5. Assist with the delivery of new customer projects and system implementations
6. Communicate effectively with end users, providing clear updates and managing expectations
7. Prioritise workload to meet SLAs and business needs
Technical Environment
8. Windows Server (2012/2016/2019)
9. Microsoft 365 / Office 365
10. Hyper-V and VMware
About You
11. Proven experience in a 2nd or 3rd Line IT Support / Infrastructure role
12. Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and virtualisation technologies
13. Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
14. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
15. Excellent communication and customer service skills
16. Experience within a managed services or outsourced IT environment is highly desirable
