Gap Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in Telford for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer who can work independently, troubleshoot faults efficiently, and support continuous improvement across a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
* Reduce downtime and improve machine performance
* Support installations, upgrades, and engineering improvement projects
* Maintain accurate maintenance records
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with H&S procedures
* Assist with general facilities and building maintenance when required
What We're Looking For:
* City & Guilds qualification or completed engineering apprenticeship
* Multi-skilled maintenance experience within manufacturing
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
* Knowledge of PLC systems and engineering drawings
* 17th/18th Edition qualification desirable
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Positive, proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
Desirable:
• Experience within automated manufacturing environments
• FLT / IPAF licences
