Your mission in CMbE
The Stores Team Leader supports the Warehouse Manager in the effective day‑to‑day running of the Stores department. The role is responsible for maintaining a safe, organised working environment and ensuring all activities are carried out using appropriate, risk‑assessed methods. Leading the putting away and picking of parts, the position ensures the timely supply of spares, machinery, and equipment to meet business requirements. The role also involves coordinating daily workloads, responding to priority requests, supporting the team’s performance, and maintaining accurate departmental KPI reporting.
Requirements
The role requires proven experience within a stores or warehousing environment, ideally gained over a minimum of three years, along with previous exposure to a factory setting. A strong understanding of safe manual handling practices and stock control processes is essential, as is experience using warehouse systems such as IBS, JDE, and ARAS.

A logical and analytical mindset, combined with strong quality awareness, will support effective decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment. This role suits someone who is comfortable working across departments, supporting team development, and contributing to continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and service.
The successful candidate will have experience leading or supervising a team, managing workloads, and reacting effectively to changing priorities. Confidence in problem solving, investigating stock or picking issues, and working to tight deadlines is important, alongside a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to create risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
