Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of experience, you deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to members in need.
Qualifications
* A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* At least 2 years of post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
* A customer‑focused approach.
* A full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
* Provide mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics for flat batteries, tyre changes, and complex fault‑finding.
* Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK, ensuring quick and confident solutions.
* Maintain own RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit.
* Work demand‑led shifts, averaging 40 hours per week with optional overtime.
