Cleaning Manager - Salisbury Location: Salisbury Contract Type: Full Time Salary: £40,000 About the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Cleaning Manager to lead delivery of high-quality cleaning services within a Defence environment. You will be responsible for managing teams, ensuring compliance, and maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards, while delivering an outstanding customer experience in line with Compass Group standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily cleaning operations, ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations Lead, train, and motivate cleaning teams to consistently deliver excellent service Manage staffing levels, rotas, and labour costs effectively within budget Monitor cleaning standards through regular audits and inspections, driving continuous improvement Maintain stock control of cleaning materials and equipment Build strong client relationships, attend review meetings, and contribute to monthly reporting Ensure all compliance documentation, COSHH records, and cleaning schedules are up to date Support wider soft FM operations and provide cover for supervisors where required What We’re Looking For Essential: Proven experience managing cleaning operations or soft FM services Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills Knowledge of health & safety regulations and cleaning compliance (including COSHH) Experience managing budgets, labour, and resources IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Full UK Driving Licence Desirable: Experience within MOD/Defence or secure environments Knowledge of service management or auditing systems Relevant cleaning or FM qualifications What We Offer Opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities Supportive leadership and collaborative team culture Apply Now If you’re a proactive, hands-on Cleaning Manager passionate about maintaining high standards and leading teams to success, we’d love to hear from you.
