The Financial Reporting and Control team are growing in response to the demands of a fast-growing business and an increasingly demanding control and governance environment. Led by the Group Financial Reporting Manager who reports into the Head of Group Financial Reporting, the team sit alongside and work closely with the transactional finance teams (credit control and accounts payable) and other areas of business operations. The team are ultimately responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of Company numbers both internally and externally. Leading finance transformation through reporting excellence
The successful candidate will be a key player in the Financial Reporting and Control team as well as the wider finance function of a thriving FTSE-250 Company. Driving the accuracy and timeliness of corporate reporting, internally and externally, this individual will live in the heart of the business. The team is growing quickly to adapt as the business grows and adds complexity and this is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to get involved across all areas of the business and implement changes which ultimately improve reporting quality. In this role there will be exposure to most areas of reporting and work closely with various business operation functions.
As Financial Reporting Team Leader, you'll be responsible for:
* Managing and developing your directteam while supporting senior finance leadership.
* Owning and evolving technical accounting and reporting across key areas such as revenue recognition, IFRS 15, SBP, Consolidation, FX, intercompany.
* Providing accurate financial statements, variance analysis, and audit readiness.
* Leading project-based work and driving continuous process improvements.
* Collaborating across business functions to ensure effective controls and compliance.
We'd love you to have
* Demonstrable experience managing and motivating others, with a confident and proactive approach.
* A recognised accounting qualification and over two years' post-qualification experience in industry.
* Strong technical accounting and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex topics.
* Excellentcommunicationand influencing skills,witha drive to succeed and progress in acollaborativeenvironment.
* Confidence working with large datasets, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with finance systems such as Oracle NetSuite.
