Onefile Ltd, a Harris Computer company, is seeking a Software Developer on a full-time, permanent basis operating on a hybrid working model, based in Manchester (2 days per week).
As a Software Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using .NET and Javascript frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and UX to deliver reliable and scalable applications.
You will also leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and reduce manual effort across the development lifecycle. This role requires a strong focus on clean code, performance, and continuous improvement, with an openness to adopting new technologies and AI-driven workflows.
Key responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain applications using .NET (C#) and Angular
2. Use AI-assisted tools (e.g. code generation, automated testing) to enhance development efficiency
3. Collaborate with Product and QA teams to deliver high quality features
4. Participate in code reviews and follow best development practices
5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across environments
6. Contribute to improving development processes, automation pipelines, and AI adoption within the team
Skills and Experience:
Essential
7. Proven experience developing web applications using .NET (C#) and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular). Min 2 years +
8. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including clean code, performance optimisation, and maintainability.
9. Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, UX).
10. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, backend services, and integration patterns.
11. Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and participating in code reviews.
12. Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across multiple environments.
13. Exposure to automated testing practices and quality-focused development.
14. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver features end-to-end.
15. Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
16. Openness to adopting AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Desirable
17. Experience working with Azure cloud services (e.g. App Services, Functions, Event-driven architectures).
18. Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Playwright or similar).
19. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
20. Experience contributing to automation initiatives within the SDLC.
21. Understanding of AI-assisted development workflows (e.g. code generation, AI-supported debugging, test generation).
22. Exposure to microservices or event-driven architectures.
23. Interest in continuous improvement and driving efficiency through tooling and automation.
