Private Client Solicitor | NQ-3 PQE | 18 month FTC | £35K DOE | West Midlands | Job Ref: 215302759 Location: West Midlands (easily commutable by road and public transport – ideal for Private Client professionals across the Midlands) Salary: £35,000 DOE, plus bonus Contract: 18-month maternity cover (with potential to become permanent) Hours: Full-time (hybrid working considered following a 6-month probation period) The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Solicitor to join a small, well-respected and forward-thinking firm in the West Midlands. This role offers the chance to manage a varied and high-quality Private Client caseload while playing a key role in the continued growth and development of the practice. The Role You will take responsibility for a full and varied Private Client caseload, including: • Wills and estate planning • Probate and administration of estates • Lasting Powers of Attorney • Inheritance Tax planning • Private trusts and settlements Additional responsibilities will include: • Advising clients on income and capital taxation, tax planning and long-term care strategies • Managing matters from initial instruction through to completion with care and precision • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation • Keeping up to date with developments in Private Client law • Representing the firm at networking and industry events • Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship building • Working collaboratively to support the smooth running and growth of the firm About You The firm is keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate: • Qualification as a Solicitor or Legal Executive (NQ–3 years’ PQE) • Solid experience within a busy Private Client department • Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate and estate administration • Confidence managing a caseload independently • Experience using case management systems (LEAP experience advantageous) • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication and client care skills • A professional, approachable and client-focused manner • Good IT skills and familiarity with Lexcel, SRA Standards & Regulations and AML requirements • A full, clean driving licence Benefits • 21 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays • Additional holiday entitlement with length of service • Discretionary performance bonus (reflecting fee earning, networking and client development) • 5% pension contribution (after probation) Health & Wellbeing • Private medical care (after probation) • Critical illness and death in service insurance (after probation) • Company sick pay eNL will never share your CV with a third party without your express permission.
