Plural is an early-stage investment fund that backs the most ambitious founders on a mission to change the world through technology. Launched in June 2022 with the aim to give serious founders in Europe investors with company-building experience to match their ambition.
Based in Tallinn, Estonia and London, UK, Plural’s mission is to have GDP-level impact on Europe, address systemic risks and reduce the opportunity gap worldwide through the companies it backs. Plural has raised €800m across two funds in the last three years and invested in more than 50 companies in nine countries across a range of sectors.
Working at Plural offers a rare and unique opportunity to contribute to the mission of one of Europe’s most exciting fast-growing venture capital funds, working alongside an ambitious international group of successful founders-turned-investors and a team of top professionals, supporting some of the biggest, hottest startup companies to help them make the world better.
The Role
We don’t just write cheques, we roll up our sleeves. All our partners are former founders, and we give serious founders investors with real company-building experience to match their ambition.
We’re a high-conviction, high-involvement fund that invests real time and energy into helping founders succeed, from building the right team to preparing for their next fundraise.
This role is all about supporting our portfolio of incredible founders and offers a rare opportunity to collaborate with and help them add rocket fuel to their ambition, whatever that looks like.
We’re looking for a Portfolio Operations Manager to help make that support happen. You’ll be a proactive self-starter who can keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, coordinate key services, and make sure our internal systems stay sharp. If you’re excited about working closely with founders and a team that puts real care and effort into the companies we back, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
* Help onboard new portfolio companies — manage onboarding steps, collect key info, prepare materials, and make sure founders have what they need to get started
* Coordinate portfolio support — help run and organise our core support services, and take the lead on special projects that benefit multiple companies
* Build new support offerings — work with the team to spot common founder needs and help build new services, tools, or systems to support them
* Track portfolio progress — keep our internal tools and databases up to date with company info, milestones, and support activity across the portfolio
* Support team communication — schedule key check-ins, prepare materials and reports for internal meetings, and make sure updates flow smoothly across the team
* Help run events — support the planning and logistics of portfolio events like our Founders Summit
* Maintain systems and tools — keep our databases, Slack channels, and internal trackers tidy and accurate
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have:
* 2–4 years of experience in operations, project management, startup or VC support, or similar
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Clear communicator who can juggle many threads at once and keep things moving
* Tech-savvy — you’ve used tools like Airtable, Affinity or other CRM systems (or are quick to learn)
* Comfortable taking ownership of projects and working independently
* Bonus: experience working directly with founders or early-stage teams (especially as a Chief of Staff or Founder Associate)
Other information
* Immediate start date
* Hybrid office (Soho, London) and work from home arrangements
* European travel ~1 x quarter.
Plural welcomes different backgrounds and education. As an investment partnership we value curiosity, courage, and willingness to accelerate good ideas. If you are a self-starter who wants to be involved with a fast-paced team, with the courage to test unconventional ideas and contribute to a great, existing team spirit - we want to talk.
