Overview
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Mental Health Nurse to provide managerial support and leadership to the mental health wards within Queen Margaret Hospital (wards 2, 3 and 4). The post is predominantly night shift with expectations to carry out duties on day shift if required.
Responsibilities
As a pivotal member of the team, you will possess good interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written) and have a genuine interest in working in a charge nurse role within the mental health unit. You will be confident in dealing with a wide range of clinical situations and supporting team members and associated professionals to provide the best care to service users and optimise teamwork within the ward. You will support the induction package and educational development, commit to person‑centred care, professional development and quality improvement.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent skill gained through experience.
* Significant experience working within mental health services.
* Demonstrated leadership skills.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Self‑motivated and committed to person‑centred care, professional development and quality improvement.
Requirements
* A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
