Head of Procurement
Talentmark are currently recruiting for a Head of Procurement to join a global diagnostics organization, based in Burgess Hill on a permanent basis.
In this position, the successful candidate will lead a dedicated team in overseeing both direct and indirect procurement, ensuring our clients solutions deliver world-class healthcare to patients and customers.
The role offers hybrid working and will be located, minimum 2/3 days per week, onsite in Burgess Hill.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and develop the procurement team, fostering a collaborative, agile, and customer-centric environment.
2. Develop and execute robust strategies for direct and indirect spend, ensuring alignment with global standards and local UK/Ireland requirements.
3. Lead scouting, negotiation, and onboarding processes for strategic partners, ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
4. Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure supplier accountability, quality, and delivery precision.
Candidate Background:
5. University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a Scientific field; a Master’s or Postgraduate degree in Management or Supply Chain is preferred.
6. Proven experience in a similar procurement leadership role within a multinational environment, with a track record in people management and team development.
7. Experience navigating NHS contracting and public sector procurement regulations.
8. Highly proficient in digital procurement tools (such as SAP and Microsoft Office).
