About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor to cover maternity leave. The role requires a good team player who can make a difference with their experience, knowledge and is self driven and able to manage multiple work streams. They will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of providing HR support for varied situations. The role is a 6 month placement.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the People Partner in all aspects of:
8. Providing coaching, guidance and advice on all People policies, procedures and employee relations
9. Ensuring a fair and consistent approach that complies with employment law
10. Collating, reporting and analysis of HR KPI’s producing action plans to improve
11. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
12. Managing long term absence, occupational health referrals, medical reports, flexible working, maternity, paternity, shared parental leave etc.
13. Co-ordinating and managing recruitment, selection and induction processes
14. Forge relationships with the Trade Union to ensure a positive and constructive working relationship
15. Support the health and wellbeing of all colleagues
You will need
16. CIPD full or part qualified
17. Previous experience in a generalist role offering first line advice within a unionised environment essential.
18. Able to prioritise, plan and organise a varied workload, with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
19. Administrative experience with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
20. Attending and supporting all shifts (including night shift) will be a requirement, therefore flexibility to working hours is essential.
