Summary
Are you passionate about making a positive impact in someone’s life? We are looking for dedicated Support Workers with experience in support work and a knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support to empower an incredible young gentleman with Learning Disabilities and Autism in Risca. Our 24/7 service offers:
* Day Shifts: 8 AM - 8 PM or 11 AM - 6 PM
* Waking Night Shifts: 9:30 PM - 7:30 AM
* Work-Life Balance – Rotas provided 6 weeks in advance
* 30-hour shifts including a waking night
* A full UK manual driving licence (to support with mobility vehicle transport)
* Experience in care with a knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support
* A compassionate and proactive approach to care

What is the role?
This rewarding and dynamic role involves supporting a charismatic young adult with Autism who enjoys outdoor activities, swimming, long walks, and scenic drives. The support includes personal care, outdoor activities, water play, baking, and community outings, following a structured activity planner to ensure consistency and fulfillment.
What We’re Looking For
* Knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) is beneficial
* A passion for enabling independence and helping individuals live on their own terms
* Enthusiasm and a desire to make a real difference
* Strong initiative and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing outstanding support as part of a passionate team
* Implementing PBS and personal plans, ensuring continuous improvement with the multidisciplinary team and PBS Lead
* Collaborating with family and professionals to create a strong support network
* Encouraging community involvement and engagement in local activities
* Building life skills such as cooking, household tasks, managing finances, and medication management
* Supporting individuals in the community with shopping, appointments, education, and leisure activities
* Assisting with personal care as outlined in individual care plans
* Contributing to risk assessments and support plans to ensure safety and empowerment

Pay and Benefits
* £13.06 per hour
* Waking night rate + 20%
