Location – Rochdale/Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our engineering team and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native applications. You will work across the full stack using modern technologies and contribute to architectural decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices. This role requires prior experience in a senior developer position, with a proven track record of delivering production systems and mentoring other developers.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality, scalable applications using .NET (latest versions) and React
* Build and operate cloud‑native solutions on Microsoft Azure
* Develop, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes
* Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and technology selection
* Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices
* Collaborate closely with managers, DevOps, and other engineers
* Mentor developers and provide technical leadership
* Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure automation
* Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve performance, reliability, and security
* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends

Your Experience
* Previous experience in a Senior Software Developer (or equivalent) role
* Strong professional experience with C# and the latest .NET framework
* Experience with Design Patterns in C#
* Solid experience building modern front‑end applications with React
* Strong hands‑on experience with Azure infrastructure and services while leading on architecture
* Experience deploying and operating applications in Kubernetes
* Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
* Proficiency with Git / Azure DevOps and collaborative development workflows
* Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
* Knowledge of Azure services such as App Services, AKS, Redis
* Experience with automated testing frameworks
* Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
