Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Open Dialogue Practitioner to facilitate the ongoing development of the Peer Supported Open Dialogue service (POD) within KMPT, the only stand-alone NHS Open Dialogue service in the UK.

In this role, you will promote POD and co-facilitate training sessions for staff and trainees. Your responsibilities include working alongside pod-trained staff, supporting service users and their social networks from crisis to recovery, and integrating this care model throughout KMPT.

Main duties of the job

You should be a registered mental health worker (nurse, OT, therapist) trained or participating in recognized open dialogue training by KMPT. A minimum of 2 years post-registration experience or relevant experience in an Open Dialogue team is required. Experience working with service users and social networks in crisis, understanding peer-supported work, prioritizing casework, and liaising with stakeholders are essential. Awareness of clinical governance, patient safety, and patient experience is also important.

You must be willing to co-facilitate POD training.

Working for our organisation

Join us in the Garden of England, where we offer excellent professional development opportunities and a high quality of life.

We are Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), providing mental health, learning disability, and specialist services to 1.8 million people across the county.

You will join dedicated, diverse colleagues committed to providing excellent care to our service users and their families. Our work environment values kindness and compassion at all levels, recognizing everyone's vital role in delivering exemplary services.
