Job Description:
Your company: We are looking to recruit personable, organised, and caring housing support workers. You will assist with the tenancy support of individuals exiting prison on the bail system. Improve the lives of service users by coordinating the provision of direct housing-related support and housing management services, working with area operational and central support teams, and liaising with external agencies and partners. There may also be a requirement to work independently in the community and/or service setting. Please note, you will be working with individuals who are exiting prison on bail.
Your new role: Work closely with residents to manage their needs, liaising with other agencies to help them maintain their housing by supporting their finances and promoting independence. You will complete activities to promote self-esteem and ensure residents adhere to bail and tenancy agreements. Typical shifts are 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, with one evening and one Saturday every 6 weeks.
What you'll need to succeed: At least 6 months of recent social care experience, desirable experience in mental health, dealing with substance abuse, and assisting with housing and benefits. Driving is essential for this role.
