Job Overview
Job Profile: To co-ordinate and oversee Teaching Content and other content for UCBRadio. When we refer to Teaching Content, we mean Bible-based programmes such as sermons, devotionals, and lessons that explain and apply Scripture to everyday life and helpChristians to go deeper in their faith. This can include short or long form content, which could take the format of preaching, apologetics, and practical teaching on topics like prayer,relationships, or current issues from a Christian perspective. Reports to: Content Team Leader. Works Closely with: Podcast Producer, Testimonies Producer, Testimonies Journalist, Head of UCB 1 and UCB 2 and their present teams, Sound & Vision Team Leader and Team.
Responsibilities
* To lead on developing the strategy for Teaching Content, as defined above, which includes liaising with the Heads of UCB 1 and UCB 2 to shape a tailored teaching output for each station.
* To forge new relationships and maintain existing relationships with ministries, churches and speakers.
* To handle all administration for Teaching Content including audio acquisition and editing.
* To lead on compliance for all teaching, in order to maintain compliance with Ofcom regulations and a high standard of theological content.
* To liaise with the radio scheduling team and audio production team to make sure the correct audio files are scheduled for the correct time.
* If necessary, to assist with outside broadcasts and in-house music recordings.
* To develop appropriate skills through regular training.
* To attend team and staff meetings.
* To complete other duties that are reasonable and within your capabilities as requested by your team leader.
* To participate in target setting and review meetings with your team leader.
* The commitment to participate in regular prayer time in order to promote team unity.
* To be prepared to witness to the life-changing message of Jesus and lead people to Christ, as appropriate.
* To develop ways of introducing UCB's story in a manner that is relevant and engaging.
* To support all of UCBs fundraising activities and events; whether in prayer and/or directly in participation, ensuring sufficient resources are available in order to maximise success.
Qualifications and Experience
* Must be flexible and have a positive, can-do attitude.
* Must enjoy working with people be approachable and work well within a team.
* To have a solid foundational knowledge of Christian Teaching, including an understanding of different church denominations and different styles of teaching delivery.
* To have some experience of radio production techniques.
* To have experience of using audio editing software, such as Adobe Audition.
* To have an acceptable standard of written English (GCSE level C or grade 4) for scriptwriting, emails etc., or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
* Strong administration and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy work schedule in order to achieve deadlines.
* Must be computer literate working confidently with Microsoft Office Suite.
