We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to join our growing construction business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our office, supporting senior management, and coordinating administrative processes to keep projects and operations on track.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily office operations, ensuring an efficient and professional working environment.
* Act as the main point of contact for office communications, correspondence, and enquiries.
* Manage office supplies, equipment, and service contracts.
* Support directors and project managers with scheduling, travel, and meeting coordination.
* Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems (digital and paper).
* Assist with HR administration, including onboarding, training records, and holiday/sickness tracking.
* Support finance team with invoice processing, expenses, and basic bookkeeping tasks.
* Coordinate health & safety compliance, including maintaining staff certifications and office/site documentation.
* Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency across the business.
Skills & Qualities
* Excellent organisational and multitasking ability.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Knowledge of construction industry administration or project support (preferred but not essential).
* Attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
* Minute taking.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Office Manager, Administrator, or similar role.
* Experience in the construction or related industries is advantageous.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach.
