We’re looking for a Manufacturing / Production Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting production through the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
* Develop and maintain manufacturing plans for new and existing products throughout their lifecycle.
* Keep production equipment operational through first‑level maintenance and coordination of advanced repairs.
* Troubleshoot production breakdowns and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
* Create programs for automated/programmable equipment.
* Analyse equipment and methods to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Develop and maintain process documentation; train staff on procedures and best practices.
* Provide technical support for complex production issues.
* Collaborate with Quality teams to analyse trends and recommend process improvements.
* Apply root cause analysis to resolve daily assembly and production issues.
* Control and maintain manufacturing documentation in line with industry standards.
* Carry out additional engineering duties as required.
What We're Looking For
* Degree in Engineering (BEng or equivalent) - desirable.
* Understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement tools.
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
* Familiarity with computerised manufacturing systems such as ERP and MRP.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects effectively.
* Basic understanding of project management methodologies.
