Technical Manager, Greenford, London. We’re looking for someone to lead the Technical function, and oversee our QA & Hygiene team. You will directly manage, coach, develop and motivate our team of 3 Technical staff. About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
* Leads the Technical function of the business (QA, Hygiene and Technical Compliance)
* Leads and demonstrates comprehensive understanding of site HACCP, actively evaluating risks and establishing robust controls for new processes, products, or raw materials.
* Leads and maintains the company’s BRC grade AA+ certification.
* Work closely with other operational teams to define and maintain a clear plan for the development & continuing improvement of a food safety and quality culture.
* Be the primary contact for customers, suppliers and third parties in technical and quality issues.
* Work in partnership with the buying team and develop robust supply chain, including Supplier auditing, approval, and maintenance.
* Develop strong relationships with the technical representatives of our key customers to build and maintain their confidence in our technical standards.
* Challenge and improve QA & hygiene programmes within the business.
You’ll be a great fit if you…
✔️ You have a good amount of experience in a senior Technical position within high care / high-risk food manufacture
✔️ You’re adept with Technical factory and compliance retail standards
✔️ You have an excellent food safety & preservation knowledge, including HACCP and BRC Regulations
✔️ Experience with supplying own label, both with required factory standards and legal compliance
✔️ Possess effective communication skills and experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, fostering trust in Belazu’s technical prowess.
✔️ Have a keen eye for detail and continuous improvement – we want someone who initiates and evaluates technical projects as part of our agenda to drive innovation and efficiency.

Prefer to steer clear of internal and suppplier auditing, and find it challenging to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders
Feel uneasy about taking ownership of decisions and struggle with analysing complex situations to pinpoint underlying issues
Have difficulty evaluating situations and determining the most appropriate course of action and find it challenging to anticipate potential consequences and implications of your choices.

Terms:
* 40 hrs/wk i.e. Between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon-Fri (start and finish times flexible) with a 3 day/week office; 2 day/week WFH hybrid working model.
