Job Description: Senior Specialist - Design to Value (2 roles) The Design to Value (Dtv) team exists to drive enterprise-wide value creation by developing and executing an integrated, cross-functional Design to Value (DtV) capability. The objective to deliver value through sustained productivity, simplification, and harmonization across raw materials, packaging, recipes, and processes. The Senior Specialist is a core member of the Design to Value (DtV) team within Mars Snacking Global R&D. This role exists to deliver value creation by providing consulting-style support to DtV initiatives, including product tear downs, benchmarking, data analysis, insight and narrative development, and operational support. This role will leverage experience working across a breadth of change project types in a CPG and/or Operations (R&D/Supply/Procurement) context and strong project management and analytical skills to drive program delivery, support cross-functional teams, and enable Mars to internalize capabilities traditionally sourced externally. Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Science, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting, operations, or project management within CPG, manufacturing, or related industries. Experience with product tear downs, benchmarking, and value diagnostics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience supporting cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities. Familiarity with productivity, simplification, and value creation initiatives. Experience in a client-facing or internal consulting role is preferred What will be your key responsibilities? Working closey with the Analytics Lead to support analysis to identify ‘dig sites’ for DtV program opportunities (Regionally and Globally). Identify gaps in knowledge and data and develop plans to fill these from a variety of internal and external resources. Conduct product tear downs and diagnostics to identify value creation opportunities across raw materials, packaging, recipes, and processes. Benchmark internal and external practices, synthesizing insights to inform DtV program design and execution. Develop compelling narratives and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and value cases to stakeholders. Support the PMO and Director Lead in program management, governance, and delivery of DtV initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regional/global SMEs to gather data, share learnings, and drive networked improvement. Contribute to the codification of best practices and the development of internal consulting playbooks. Assist in tracking and reporting on KPIs (savings, growth, sustainability, simplification, project conversion). Provide operational support for DtV projects, ensuring pace, quality, and alignment with business objectives. Upskill team members and stakeholders in DtV tools and approaches. LI-BM1 The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.
