Description Business Development Director – Regional sales About Cazenove Capital At Cazenove Capital we look after private individuals, families and charities. We are the Wealth Management business of the FTSE-listed global investment manager Schroders. We help our clients around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future. What does not change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper. The base We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We are close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly. This role will be based out of our office in London and will cover London, Oxford, Birmingham and Bristol. The team We are one of the largest UK-based Wealth Management firms, headquartered in London but with offices around the country. We help private clients, families, charities and some institutions meet their long-term goals by offering our expertise in investment, wealth planning, lending and family office services. We draw on the resources of the Schroders group, as well as having our own in-house investment team. We are open to flexible working, so we can all balance our personal and professional commitments. Overview We are looking for an experienced Business Development Director to work with our thriving national DFM team, to drive the growth of discretionary £Assets Under Management via intermediaries (our “DFM” proposition). What you will do Contribute to and implement the annual and long-term business development strategy for Wealth Management; Contribute to the development of the Cazenove Capital brand in the UK generally, but focused on London, Oxford, Birmingham and Bristol in particular; Develop new business opportunities using personal and professional contacts, and in particular intermediaries (typically Independent Financial Advisers); Maintaining and managing substantial client relationships – in the case of intermediated clients, the primary relationship will often by with the intermediary firms; Work with intermediaries with a view to starting, enhancing or cementing relationships where the primary goal is to receive intermediated client referrals; Collaborate with our Marketing team to deliver informative and inspirational events aimed at the intermediary market; Work effectively, and in partnership, with the Heads of London and Regional Office’s, Portfolio Directors and Portfolio Managers to grow our business; Collaborate with colleagues in similar roles in the rest of the UK to ensure consistency under the guidance of the Head of DFM The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help: Professional Qualifications as a financial adviser or investment manager (Level 4 is mandatory, Level 7 nice to have) Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills Ability to work to deadlines and be able to assimilate information/instructions quickly Experience of minute taking Excellent grammar and spelling High attention to detail Ability to demonstrate initiative Good Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills What you will be like: A self-starter, able to prioritise workload and have an ability to work for more than one person Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with individuals of any level Have a flexible approach to work Have a strong team ethic and collaboration skills We recognise potential, whoever you are: Our purpose is to provide excellent investment performance to clients through active management.
