We are recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Senior to join the corporate services department at the Banbury office of a successful accountancy practice. You will ideally be fully qualified ACCA/ACA although an exceptional part qualified candidate may be considered at Semi Senior level. As Audit & Accounts Senior, reporting to the Departmental Manager, your responsibilities will include: * Complete and supervise audit assignments at a client site or remotely * Review and prepare client accounts, tax or VAT-based work from information provided * Assist with higher-level, technical client audit, accounts, and taxation compliance work for corporate clients * Manage and deliver ad hoc projects and assignments * Identify points for Partner to raise with clients and to raise potential areas for additional services including added value services and advice * Finalise paperwork for dispatch to clients and HMRC in a timely manner * Proactively liaise with clients to obtain relevant information for their accounts * Monitor own job quality and quantity in line with agreed budgets, and record your own chargeable time * Support trainees by providing on-the-job coaching and supervision and review of trainee assignments * Review and depending on the size of the assignment prepare client tax returns based on information supplied by the client, advise on tax payable and payment dates * Assisting clients with accounts software and other queries as required * Involvement in client seminars, networking and business generation under the guidance of more senior team members Please apply for this role if you can satisfy the following criteria: * Be ACCA/ACA qualified * At least two years’ audit and accounts experience gained within UK practice * Ability to prepare, conduct and supervise audits, prepare client accounts, tax, PAYE or VAT quickly and efficiently * Strong IT skills, preferably with experience of cloud accounting software such as Xero * Be highly organised and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail * Have excellent written and verbal communication skills * Willing to attend courses that are appropriate to job role This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to thrive and further develop within a fantastic team, where you will provide a high-quality service to clients with the minimum of supervision.
