LEGAL ADVISOR – UTILITIES
CENTRAL SURREY (1-2 DAYS PER WEEK IN OFFICE)
PERMANENT ROLE
£60,000 BASIC SALARY
Role Overview:
Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment are presently representing a UK based multi‑utility network utilities provider in their search for a Legal Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the negotiation of a range of agreements from instruction to completion. You would supervise other, more junior members of the legal team and be responsible for identifying and advising on legal risks and implementing appropriate mitigations.
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage utilities leases, transfers and wayleaves, from instruction to completion.
* Provide instructions to external counsel on land rights projects.
* Develop and draft bespoke contracts terms for land rights
* Be involved in the negotiation of the legal framework supporting major and minor Gas/Electricity/Water/Heat schemes
* Supervise Paralegals and Legal Assistants on land rights transactions,
* Interact with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates and guidance on the status of legal matters.
