Therapeutic Radiographer – Research/Treatment

Join the late phase research team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where you will perform clinical trials and support research as a specialist radiographer. This split role combines clinical duties with research responsibilities, allowing you to maintain and develop both skill sets.
Main Duties
* Assist in the assessment of new clinical trial protocols for feasibility, including resource implications for the radiotherapy department and Trust.
* Act as a research specialist in coordinating radiotherapy pathways in clinical trials.
* Serve as the initial point of contact for patients participating in delegated radiotherapy trials.
* Contribute to the maintenance of clinical trials data collection systems and completion of case report forms. Ensure accurate recording of toxicities and adverse events.
* Coordinate and monitor the care of patients in clinical trials, identifying potential trial participants.
* Undertake clinical work in both treatment and pre‑treatment sections of the radiotherapy department (40% of the time) while supporting the research team.
* Provide all aspects of patient care as required, in accordance with local rules and professional code of conduct.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to influence and plan patient care pathways for trial participants.
