Assistant Manager – Bookings and Marketing

40 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Weekend and Evening Work Required

Salary: £29,215 - £30,235 per annum

Starting Salary will be dependent on experience

Trigonos provides the perfect setting for workshops, training, wellbeing retreats, art, tai chi, holiday groups and more. We are based in an 18 acre estate in a quiet Snowdonia valley, bordering a lake within a superb mountain landscape that looks up to the west face of Snowdon. With a welcoming atmosphere, comfortable residential accommodation for up to 32 guests, a range of pleasant workrooms and plenty of refreshing outdoor space, Trigonos is a place that gives our guests and visitors the freedom to access our facilities, whilst the team provide unobtrusive, but very effective, support as and when it is required.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Trigonos Team, based in Nantlle, Gwynedd. Trigonos has a successful history of providing warmth and high-quality hospitality for a range of activities and courses. The 20 bedroom facility includes meeting rooms, workshop spaces and beautiful grounds. The successful candidate will be required to support the leadership of our Hospitality Team as part of the Ruskin Mill Trust, to be based at Trigonos Hospitality and Retreat Centre.

Duties include;

* Working collaboratively with the General Manager and Assistant Manager - Hospitality, to ensure optimum operations in line with bookings, room allocations and availability
* Ensure all social media platforms are regularly updated and managed successfully in order to positively promote Trigonos, with a focus on increasing bookings, bed and breakfast, private events and courses.
* To work with the Ruskin Mill Trust marketing team to help produce publicity and marketing materials
* To work with all guests and colleagues to ensure that their stay is of the highest standard
* To oversee all bookings and bookings systems, encouraging the development of processes, where required, that align to the business and guest need
* To communicate effectively with new clients to build solid relationships, encouraging future and repeat bookings
* To manage booking channels such as
* To seek and promote opportunities for BnB bookings when the centre is not at full capacity
* To undertake on call duties and duty management

As Trigonos is part of Ruskin Mill Trust, the successful applicant will also be expected to embrace, articulate and work with the Trust's objectives, vision, values, purpose and method, ensuring that the Trust's paradigm of biodynamic agriculture, Anthroposophical medicine and practical skills education, which is informed by Steiner Education, is maintained, implemented and integrated within the provisions of the Trust.

The successful candidate will be/have;

* Skilled in a variety of advertising and marketing methods, including digital, print and social media, or willing to to embrace development in this area
* Applications from Welsh speaking applicants would be highly desirable although not necessary.
* Experience of working in a leadership role in the hospitality sector is preferred, but not essential
* High level of personal resilience and ability to think with an innovative and solution focused perspective when faced with barriers
* Highly Computer Literate in Microsoft office applications, especially Excel
* Committed to the development of Trigonos as a wellbeing retreat, college and social enterprise
