Overview
The Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the company’s computer systems, servers, and data security systems. This role involves ensuring system performance, implementing new technologies, being an escalation point for the Service Desk and providing expert guidance to enhance the efficiency of the organization's IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
* Oversee maintenance and configuration of the company’s IT systems, servers, and data security systems.
* Ensure system performance and reliability; implement new technologies as appropriate.
* Act as an escalation point for the Service Desk and provide expert guidance to improve IT infrastructure efficiency.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree or industry qualifications in IT such as CompTIA A+/Net+/Sec+, Cisco CCNA, etc.
* Proven experience managing IT systems and infrastructure.
* Strong technical background with experience in system administration, network management, and IT support.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Windows operating systems, and common IT applications.
* Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and network security.
* Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is highly desirable.
* Experience with Cyber Essentials Plus certification processes and compliance requirements.
