Glasgow or Edinburgh | Hybrid Working | Up to £90,000 + Benefits
Our global professional services firm client is expanding its Financial Services Tax team in Scotland, driven by sustained growth in Asset & Wealth Management. They are looking for a Senior Manager who can create value in one of two ways — and ideally both.
[1] Advisory Leadership
You’ll focus on technically demanding, commercially significant advisory work including: Major transactions, international structuring, group reorganisations, divestments and acquisitions, BEPS-related planning, UK corporate tax advisory, Tax audit support
[2] Oversight, Governance & Reporting Value Creation
Alternatively (or additionally), this role suits someone who thrives on improving tax reporting rather than preparing it.
You could:
1. Oversee and govern corporate tax compliance processes
2. Provide insight-led commentary to clients and internal stakeholders
3. Drive reporting improvements and process optimisation
4. Introduce automation and efficiency enhancements
5. Elevate compliance from “done” to “strategic”
In short: you won’t be preparing returns — you’ll be improving how they’re delivered, controlled and leveraged.
Who This Could Suit?
You might be:
6. CA / ACCA / ACA / CTA qualified (or equivalent)
7. A Corporate Tax Senior Manager with strong advisory credentials, or a technically strong Senior Manager who enjoys oversight, governance and data-driven improvement
8. From Financial Services, or another sector entirely
9. From practice or in-house
