The Role:
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Handyman who excels in painting and decorating. While you will be expected to handle a range of general maintenance tasks, your primary focus will be on preparing and finishing internal and external surfaces to an impeccable standard. This is the perfect role for a meticulous individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys transforming spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing high-quality interior and exterior painting and decorating tasks, including surface preparation (sanding, filling, priming), painting, and finishing.
* Carrying out general handyman duties such as basic plumbing (e.g., fixing leaks, changing taps), basic carpentry (e.g., hanging doors, fitting shelves), and general repairs.
* Assembling flat-pack furniture and installing fixtures and fittings.
* Conducting routine maintenance checks and identifying areas that require attention.
* Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment and communicating effectively with clients and the team.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Handyman, with a strong portfolio or demonstrable skill in painting and decorating.
* Proficient in a wide range of painting techniques and surface preparations.
* Competent in performing general maintenance tasks across basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrics.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality finish.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
* Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* A full UK driving licence is preferred.
