Job Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join a reputable school in Derby within their Nursery Provision. You will play a crucial role in supporting the lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for Nursery aged children. You will assist in implementing age-appropriate activities, maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery and ensuring the well-being and safety of all children in your care.
Responsibilities:
* Assist Teachers in planning and implementing daily activities and routines.
* Supervise and interact with children.
* Maintain and clean and safe environment for the children.
* Monitor and assess children’s development and behaviour.
* Foster a positive relationship and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Support children with personal care routines, such as feeding, dressing and toileting, as needed.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young children in a child care setting (preferred)
* Level 1, 2 or 3 Childcare qualification (requirement).
* A genuine passion for working with children and helping them learn and grow.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to follow direction and work as a team.
* Basic understanding of child development, early childhood education principles and assessment frameworks.
* Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain).
