Job Description:
What will I be doing?
You will start with industry-leading, bespoke training and quickly move to conducting hands-on statutory inspections. You will provide expert opinions on a wide range of equipment, helping clients comply with legislation and standards. After inspections, you'll report using a rugged laptop and send electronically to clients, requiring good IT skills and high literacy. Excellent communication skills and sound engineering judgment are essential.
What skills/qualifications will I have?
You should be an experienced engineer with solid knowledge of your discipline, reporting to a Team Manager, based from home with a geographically reasonable client base. Ideally, you will have:
* Either a time served or Modern Apprenticeship qualification
* Hands-on experience in a relevant engineering field
* Experience with lifts and/or cranes is advantageous, including roles in manufacturing, repair, maintenance, mechanical, or motor trades
* Experience with machine tools, presses, or injection moulding (not essential but helpful)
* A full valid UK driving license
* Willingness to work paid overtime
