We are looking to recruit a band 6 podiatrist to Cowal & Bute. Providing clinical cover to Dunoon, Isle of Bute and surrounding areas.
Dunoon is easily accessible by ferry from Inverclyde.
Bute is accessed via a ferry from Wemyss Bay.
Both Ferry terminals are a short drive from Glasgow and Inverclyde.
May also require travel between other sites for upskilling and clinical support.
The post is based in a community hospital, allowing continued inter-professional links to multiple health professions.
Our community teams are highly skilled and are able to provide all aspects of podiatry care including MSK, care of the high risk foot, wound management and health promotion.
This requires the successful applicant to have the experience and confidence to handle working as a team but also independently.
A BSc Honours qualification in Podiatry and HCPC registration is required for application to this post.
The applicant will also be qualified in administration of local anaesthetic and confident in carrying out nail surgery.
The Podiatrist should be able to demonstrate a sound professional and clinical knowledge, with understanding of clinical governance and its application.

-An ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
-The ability to prioritise, plan and organise your clinical workload
-Able to work automatously as well as part of a wider team
-Carry out nail surgery single handed in rural clinics.
-Full and current driving licence.
