Weekend Retainer Care Worker (Alternate Weekends)
Location: Across Lowestoft, Beccles, Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Northern Villages
Hours: Alternate weekends
Shifts
* 07:00 – 14:00 and/or
* 14:00 – 22:00 (both Saturday and Sunday)
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Weekend Retainer Care Worker to join our team on an alternate weekend basis. This is a flexible role designed to provide support cover when required, while offering guaranteed retainer pay for your availability.
You will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities May Include
* Provide personal care
* Support with medication administration
* Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
* Follow care plans and accurately record care delivered
* Respond to short-notice requests for support (deployment shifts)
* Maintain safeguarding standards and promote service users’ wellbeing
Pay and Benefits
* Retainer Pay: £45.50 per 8-hour shift (paid regardless of deployment)
* Deployment Pay: £14.62 per hour for any hours worked when called out

Requirements
* Caring, patient, and dependable nature
* Ability to work independently and respond to short-notice deployment
* Good communication and record-keeping skills
* Previous care experience is desirable (full training can be provided)
* Must be available to work alternate weekends
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required
