Locum Occupational Therapy Lead – Independent Living Service
About the Role
* We are recruiting for an experienced Locum Occupational Therapy Lead to provide interim cover within the Independent Living Service (ILS) in Hereford.
* This senior role will oversee the Community Occupational Therapy locality functions, including responsibility for Blue Badge services, while playing a key role in service improvement.
* A significant focus of the position will be implementing recommendations arising from a recent service review and supporting the ongoing development of the service.
* The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across departments, engage with key stakeholders, and contribute to projects that positively impact the local community.
* This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously, take initiative, and influence service delivery at a strategic and operational level.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Independent Living Service
* Oversee Community OT locality services, including Blue Badge functions
* Lead and support service improvement initiatives and implementation of review recommendations
* Work collaboratively with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders
* Ensure high-quality, efficient, and compliant service delivery
* Support and contribute to projects that align with council objectives and community needs
* Promote best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement within the service
