The role of Building Control is varied, being recognised as making an important contribution to the construction process. Being involved from inception through to completion of a building, Building Control staff facilitate safe and efficient construction. The key responsibilities include: Checking plans (indoors) Site inspections (outdoors) Issuing completion certificates Consultations with Architects and Engineers We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic person with relevant building control and construction experience, with a qualification in a construction related discipline. You should be willing to learn, have knowledge and experience of the Building Regulations, be IT literate and have your own vehicle to travel around the district in order to carry out duties of the post.
