Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Support Assistant to work across a cluster of schools in South Birmingham, supporting students well being, behaviour, and personal development. This is a full-time position, starting immediately, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on young people's lives. About the Role As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Working closely with school leadership teams, SENCOs, and safeguarding leads, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group pastoral support Assist with behaviour intervention plans Build positive, trusted relationships with pupils Support attendance, well being, and engagement strategies Help maintain a calm, inclusive school environment Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as needed Contribute to safeguarding and pastoral reporting What We're Looking For We'd love to hear from you if you have: Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour, mentoring, or youth support role Strong interpersonal and communication skills A calm, patient, and empathetic approach The ability to manage challenging situations professionally An understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and inclusive practice A passion for helping young people thrive Why Work with Monarch Education?
