Main duties of the job
You will have practical experience of implementing personcentred care and have effective communication and problem solving skills. Youwill be caring and compassionate in your approach, be able to work calmly underpressure and have a strong commitment to respecting the rights of the servicesusers at all times.
Theroster covers 7 days of the week, 24 hours per day and all shifts would beavailable.
Anytraining and developmental learning needs will be encouraged and supported.

To provide direct, individualised care to each resident, promoting a caring andsafe environment.
To ensure that residents receive care which is appropriate to their specificneeds as directed within the residents care plan
Responsible for carrying out tasks as delegated by the registeredpractitioner/senior carer who has overall accountability for delegating care.
To comply with Haven Courts vision, values and behavioural compact.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Maths and English at level 1 or above (GCSE A E or equivalent)
* Previous experience in care work.
* Ability to promote positive physical, mental health and well being
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* NVQ level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care/Customer Service or equivalent.
* Experience in working in a care environment with older people and dementia
* Care Certificate
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate where there may be barriers to understanding
* Demonstrate care and compassionate towards people in need of care and support
* Commitment to respecting the rights of service users at all times and to promoting their privacy, dignity and independence throughout their lives
* Able to remain calm in challenging situations and work effectively under pressure
Other Requirements
* Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team, within a multi-agency framework
* Able to work various shift patterns
