Our client has a full-time, office-based vacancy for a Conveyancing Assistant to work within their busy conveyancing team. This role provides essential support to a demanding team and requires the ability to handle pressure and prioritise a daily workload.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the day-to-day running and administration of Conveyancing files, including preparation of standard letters and documents via the Case Management system from transaction outset through to completion.
* Prepare bills and completion statements; set up and deal with completions and all post-completion matters.
* Comply with the firm’s money laundering requirements, including obtaining client verification results and, when relevant, producing standard letters requesting proof of identification.
* Attend to clients, estate agents, solicitors, intermediaries and other third parties (telephone, email or in person) to provide updates and general advice.
* Act as the first point of contact for all clients where possible.
* Prepare work as requested by any Conveyancing fee earner.
* Assist in the personal organisation of fee earners via the Case Management system, including tasks/diary management.
* Update the Land Registry and various lender online portals.
* Create online ID requests and request funds via our online portal.
* File papers and perform general administrative duties.
Qualifications and skills
* At least 1 year of experience in an Assistant role within a Residential Conveyancing Department, with the skills to undertake this role.
* Attention to detail, professional and attentive telephone manner, and a methodical approach to work, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
