We're Hiring: Repair Technician Location: Smethwick, Birmingham B66 Schedule: 37¾ hours/week over 4½ days Workshop-Based | Full-Time | Permanent Are you a skilled technician with a strong mechanical mindset? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hands-on, supportive team focused on the repair and overhaul of air ends, blowers, and similar rotating machinery used in industrial and mobile air compressors. This is a workshop-based role – no travel or site work expected. Key Responsibilities: * Inspect, evaluate, and clean incoming air ends * Document evaluations and support repair reports * Repair and rebuild units under supervision or independently * Test, paint, and prepare units for despatch * Support additional workshop functions based on your skills (e.g., forklift operation, welding, fabrication) What We're Looking For: * 3–5 years' experience in machinery maintenance or equipment service * Mechanical aptitude and basic workshop tool skills * Knowledge of rotating equipment such as compressors or pumps * Ability to work safely with lifting equipment and tools * Welding experience is a plus, but not essential * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Willingness to perform a variety of workshop tasks as needed Compensation & Benefits: * Apprentice rate for Year 1, with increases based on performance * 25 days holiday...
