We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Stock Controller based at our Accrington (Greengates) Branch.
You will be responsible for:
* Requisitioning of product and stock control.
* Assisting in the development of sales for the Branch.
* Supporting colleagues in maintaining stock levels for all products within the Branch.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Complete Rotational Stock Check cycle within agreed timescales.
* Investigate discrepancies and action improvement where required.
* Action daily stock reports
* Support the ordering of stock for the Branch based on demand and usage.
* Receipt goods on to company stock file.
* Work with purchase ledger to resolve supplier queries and unresolved supplier returns.
* Manage Company stocktakes.
* Review and action aged stock reports to reduce levels by selling or returning to supplier.
* Support the maintenance of stock levels in line with the current demand to ensure sales potential is maximised and stock levels are not exceeded unnecessarily in the branch.
* Assist Internal and External Sales Team in securing business for the company.
* Work with supplier and sales team to deliver branch targets across the product range.
* Provide marketing with promotional items for each cycle of Trade Best Buys & Special Offers.
* Ensure product descriptions on computer system are accurate and meaningful to assist in ease of selling/charging.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
* Experience of working within a stock control or similar position
* Committed and passionate about providing excellent customer service
* Target driven with a genuine passion for the customer
* Ability to work both individually and as part of a branch team
* Knowledge or a keen interest in building materials, hardware and timber
