About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Maintenance Engineer to join our team at ProAmpac Elsham. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified, electrically biased engineer to our team. The role is critical to maintaining operational reliability, supporting production targets, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across a busy manufacturing facility.
The role is on a 4 on, 4 off rotation of 2 days, 2 nights, 7-7.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
* Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities in line with site schedules and engineering standards.
* Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns within a high-output manufacturing environment.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and minor project work to enhance reliability and performance.
* Ensure all engineering activities comply with statutory regulations, site procedures, and health and safety requirements.
* Provide technical support across blown film extrusion lines and associated ancillary equipment.
About You
* A recognised Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds or equivalent).
* Proven experience in fault-finding and breakdown repair on production machinery.
* The ability to work autonomously and use initiative to minimise equipment downtime.
* Experience undertaking reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, and basic project work.
* A strong commitment to health and safety standards and safe systems of work.
* Flexibility to undertake overtime as required to support operational requirements and holiday cover.
What we offer
* Salary up to £48,000 per annum DOE.
* Overtime paid at time and a half or double time, dependent on shift pattern.
* Quarterly performance-related bonus of up to £1,200 per annum.
