UK Clinical Operational Excellence Lead – Perioperative
12-month Fixed Term Contract
Remote/WFH with extensive travel to secondary care sites across the UK
Our client is one of the UK’s largest independent healthcare providers, offering a range of healthcare services to NHS, private, and insurance patients. They operate private hospitals nationwide, providing services including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, gynaecology, oral, spinal, weight loss, diagnostics, and medical imaging. Recognized for quality and patient outcomes, they serve over 50,000 patients annually.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Medical Director for Secondary Care, you will:
* Build relationships with key stakeholders at surgical centres, including Hospital Directors and Heads of Nursing.
* Travel to each site to review perioperative practices, develop assessment frameworks, and identify best practices.
* Analyze perioperative processes, outcomes, and develop standardization plans for operational excellence.
* Present findings and recommendations to the Board for company-wide implementation.
* Implement and roll out best practices and standard operating procedures across the hospital group.
Candidate Profile:
* Experienced senior healthcare professional (Head of Nursing, Hospital Director, Surgeon, Consultant) with 5-10 years UK healthcare experience, proven in perioperative practice and process standardization.
* Track record of identifying best practices, devising strategies, and implementing across multiple sites.
* Approachable, empathetic, motivated to achieve healthcare excellence.
* Committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes through process optimization.
* Willing to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
* Expert change manager capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and challenging the status quo.
* Immediate start available for suitable candidates on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
