The Role
As a Product Owner, you will oversee fraud detection and prevention capabilities, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement screening, identify and prevent fraud, and maintain customer trust.
Fraud: Real-time detection and prevention across cards, merchant, web, and apps, including monitoring transactions and detecting discrepancies.
Screening: Name screening (Sanctions, PEPs, Adverse Media), Transaction screening, alerts, and black/whitelisting.
KYB/KYC: Set up and monitor compliance with regional regulations, verifying information about businesses and individuals, and integrating with clients where appropriate.
Limits & Controls: Implement measures to manage risks, including funding, purchase, reload, and spending limits, and geographical constraints.
Transaction Monitoring: Set rules and alerts to detect suspicious patterns, with escalation procedures in line with regulations.
What you’ll do
* Define and communicate the vision for defend and protect capabilities, aligning with business objectives and compliance.
* Develop and maintain a product roadmap with features, milestones, and timelines.
Stakeholder Management:
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
* Maintain relationships with third parties for seamless implementation and success.
Product Development & Execution:
* Translate product ideas into user stories and deliver features.
* Oversee the product lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
Customer Experience & Value Proposition:
* Ensure a seamless, user-friendly experience, leveraging third-party capabilities.
* Drive engagement and satisfaction among customers and partners.
Data Analysis & Insights:
* Use data to make informed decisions, optimize performance, and identify improvements.
* Report on program performance to senior management.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
* Monitor industry trends, regulations, and compliance to keep capabilities current.
Partner Engagement:
* Understand partner goals and create mutual value.
* Support partners with tools and resources.
Subject Matter Expert:
* Consult with sales and regional teams on features and opportunities.
* Be the platform SME for larger sales efforts.
What you’ll bring
3-5 years as a Product Owner or Manager, preferably in fintech, with experience in fraud prevention and external partnerships.
Skills:
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
* Data-driven decision-making skills.
* Strategic prioritization.
Technical Knowledge:
* Experience with Agile, Jira, Confluence.
* Knowledge of payment solutions, fraud detection tools, and data management.
Education:
* Bachelor's in business, Computer Science, or related field.
