Milk Education is recruiting a warm, enthusiastic, and committed Early Years Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive nursery team in Liverpool on a part-time basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate early years professional who thrives in a child-centred environment and is dedicated to supporting young children during their crucial early development years.
Key Responsibilities as a Nursery Practitioner:
1. Act as a Keyworker or Co-Keyworker for children aged 2–3 years, building strong, nurturing relationships.
2. Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
3. Contribute to planning and observations alongside the wider team to ensure engaging, age-appropriate activities.
4. Create an inviting, stimulating, and play-based learning environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.
5. Complete termly summative assessments and two-year progress checks where required.
6. Communicate effectively with parents, including holding meetings to discuss children’s progress and development.
7. Promote children’s wellbeing, safety, and positive behaviour at all times.
Essential / Desirable Requirements of a Nursery Practitioner:
8. Level 3 Early Years qualification (preferred).
9. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
10. Experience working with 2–3 year olds in an early years setting.
11. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to early years education.
12. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a friendly team.
13. Paediatric First Aid training (desirable).
