As Business Development Sr Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the commercial growth of our Care Delivery business (dialysis clinics) in alignment with company strategy and commercial policy. This position requires a strong understanding of the UK healthcare landscape, particularly the NHS, with proven experience managing complex public sector tenders and building long‑term partnerships. You will lead a team of 5-6 professionals and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver tailored value propositions, secure new business, and expand existing accounts.
* Lead the design and execution of commercial development strategies, with a focus on NHS tendering and government contracting.
* Manage and develop a high-performing team, providing direction, coaching, and support to achieve business objectives.
* Oversee the end-to-end tender process for NHS and other public sector opportunities, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
* Identify customer needs and develop sustainable, profitable proposals that demonstrate clinical and economic value.
* Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers in NHS trusts, regional procurement bodies, and other public health authorities.
* Collaborate closely with operations, sales, marketing, and IT to align business strategy with execution.
* Monitor contract performance and profitability for existing accounts, and develop tailored growth plans.
* Conduct regular analysis of competitive activity and identify opportunities for market share growth.
* Contribute to the development of value‑based materials (cost‑effectiveness analyses, budget impact models) to support commercial proposals.
* Ensure all commercial activities comply with local healthcare regulations and company policies.
Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences (Pharmacy, Medicine, Biology), Economics, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA, Health Economics, Market Access) are an advantage.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial development, key account management, or market access within healthcare, medical devices, or clinical services.
* Demonstrated success in leading and winning NHS/public sector tenders.
* Strong understanding of the UK healthcare system, procurement processes, and public sector dynamics.
* Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment.
