Senior Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical Building Services) Location: Croydon, CR0 Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Building Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in delivering high-quality engineering design and consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will be responsible for providing expert technical advice, leading discipline-specific design work, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and technical delivery of M&E building services projects Provide consultancy services including site surveys, feasibility studies, due diligence, and technical reporting Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and cost targets are met Act as discipline lead on projects where required Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and clients Attend and lead meetings, providing clear and professional updates and reports Prepare and review technical documentation including specifications, calculations, and schedules Conduct site inspections, condition surveys, and defect analysis Support commissioning activities and review as-fitted drawings and O&M documentation Identify and manage project risks, including producing MEP residual risk reports in line with CDM regulations Promote sustainability and energy-efficient design solutions Mentor and support junior engineers, graduates, and trainees Contribute to business development activities, including fee proposals and technical bids What Were Looking For: Proven experience in an engineering role within M&E building services Proven experience working in consultancy Strong technical design and report writing skills Ability to manage workload independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication and client-facing skills Strong understanding of project cost control and commercial awareness Experience working across multiple projects and disciplines Commitment to sustainability and innovation in engineering solutions Why Join Us?
