Hours: 24 hours per week (Mon‑Thu 9:30‑15:00; Sat 10:00‑14:00). Salary: £16,167 per annum (including pension and benefits). Salaries will increase on 1 April 2026 as part of the company pay review.
Location: Brewers Decorator Centre, Alnwick (Sawmills Industrial Estate). The branch opens Monday‑Friday 07:00‑17:00 and Saturday 08:00‑17:00. We are ranked in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025.

Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional service to customers in‑branch, delivering on our reputation for quality service.
* Use product knowledge to recommend products and help customers find the best solutions.
* Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the branch network.
* Drive sales of the company product range (wallpaper, paint, fabric).
* Build strong relationships with customers, fully identifying their needs.
* Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in‑store to increase visibility and sales.
* Assist with stock maintenance in the branch.
* Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store.
Qualifications & Attributes
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills, translating customer requirements into product recommendations.
* Approachable, friendly personality – happy to help customers and colleagues.
* Team‑player who can also work independently.
* Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required.
* Motivated to learn, develop skills, and progress in the industry.
* Previous retail experience or product knowledge is an advantage, but not essential.
